Questions

1. What interests you in eventcore and this position and why do you believe you would be a good fit?

In my current role at Dealersocket I represent hundreds of clients, managing their online presence from the initial build process of their website to implementing social media and digital ad campaigns. While at this company I've had the opportunity to participate in many Automotive tradeshows. One of the biggest shows in the Automotive industry is called NADA and takes place in Las Vegas every year. Every year our company hires an outside company to design and build large-scale event booths. Here is an example of one of our booths: Dealersocket NADA Event Photo.

The 3rd party companies that design and build these booths rely heavily on our internal design department for support, providing them logos, videos, and branding feedback. I've always been curious about the other side of the business. Obviously, a huge portion of any event is lead generation. As far as I know, Dealersocket has always handled this portion of events internally. We are good at many things but focusing on event based lead generation once or twice a year is an odd strategy. I see a huge potential in eventcore, taking over this side of events for many companies.

Additionally, I consider myself a constant learner. I play guitar in a band. (Weird transition, I know. Trust me, I'll get there.) The band is called Among Authors. The only way we ever make money is by playing live shows. Even that is pretty fruitless. Essentially, a concert is no different than a company event. Both a band and a company needs people to participate and stay engaged, not only during the event but after. Working at eventcore, I would be learning a lot that I could transfer to the music industry. Considering my personal experience, my work experience, and where I want to go with my career, eventcore seems like the perfect fit.

2. Are you authorized to work in the United States?

Yes, I am a U.S. citizen.

3. Are you willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local laws and regulations?

Yes, of course.

4. Are you either located in Seattle, WA or planning to relocate?

I live just up the road in Ballard. No reason to relocate.

5. What are your salary requirements?

For my next move I am looking for $85k. There is a bit of flexibility for the right company and being so close to home really helps.
